You work for them, they make the rules.
If they say work nights and weekends, you work nights and weekends.
If you want the paycheck, you will do it.
If you don't need the paycheck, you can quit and not do it. |

It is legal but depending on your age and the state you live in, then the number of hours will be less than what an older person would get. That's for like 15yr olds or something like that lol. |

Depends on your age. If you are under 16 then they are not supposed to make you work after certain hours. However as the earlier poster stated you can always quit if you don;t like the parameters of the job. Me I LOVE working nights and weekends |

An employer can schedule you for whatever hours they want to. Your option is to either work as scheduled, or to find another job. |

hmm..well where I live, yes they can as long as they compensate you and give you the state mandated rest periods. I had a job when I was younger that worked us 16 hours days 7 days a week. There was no limit to the time they can make you work.
So I guess it would depend on where you live. |

If you don't like your job, quit. Simple as that. As others have said, there are a lot of people who will take the job you don't want.
In this economic climate, many people are learning about the realities of having a job. There are a lot of people out there who would be delighted to have what you don't want.
Of course it is legal. Take it, work, quit, or shut up! There are others who are waiting for you to resign. Don't disappoint them. |
