I recently got a new job (Im 15, almost 16) and my boss is paying me $4.25 an hour for the first 90 days. She said this was legal because I'm under 18. Is this legal since that's way under minimum wage? I've just never heard of this before...

very legal in MOST but not all states.....and it is legal if the new employee is under 20 (not just 18)

Yes, it is legal. Employers are allowed to pay a youth minimum wage of $4.25 an hour for 90 days for workers under age 20. |
