I am interested in starting my own ADULT ENTERTAINMENT company in Illinois. I want to know if this is legal. I know of sevel already based here, but want to be 100% legal with running my business. Can any one let me know where i can find more info on this subject, PLEASE!!!!!! Any informational resources will gladly be appreciated.

As per the Illinois Municipal Code amendment,"no new adult entertainment facility may be located, constructed, or operated within a municipality, or within one mile of the territorial boundaries of a municipality, within one mile of the property boundaries of any school, day care center, cemetery, public park, forest preserve, public housing, and a place of religious worship in a county with a population of more than 800,000 inhabitants and less than 2,000,000 inhabitants".
So, you can start an adult entertainment company in a place where the population is less than 800,000 or more than 2,000,000. |
