Is it legal to work at my grandmothers cafe at 13??

She offered me a job as a dish washer person. Yes, I would get paid. I read on some child labor law site that if your under 14 its illegal. BUT, that law doesnt apply if your working somewhere under your parents supervision or supervision of an adult with custody of you. Now I dont live with her, so she doesnt really have custody over me. Im only going to visit her for a couple of weeks. So she would be my legal guardian at the time. And she owns the restaurant. she is my grandmother by the way, so i figured it would be ok??
