It is legal, they just have to pay you overtime for the time over 40 hours.

It's not. Under 18 you usually have to have atleast a half hour break. During school you cant work past 7pm (under 16 years old), and you can't work more then 40 hours consecutivley.

I actually looked this up out of curiosity although I am in the United States. That is alot of hours and not even acceptable here. Your laws are as follows:

The age 16 is widely quoted as the minimum age to work in the UK. In fact, the law says you can take a full-time job after the last Friday in June before your 16th birthday, provided that birthday falls before the start of the next school year. So if you were turning 16 in August you can start working on Saturday 28 June. No. Not legal you are even working if your sixteenth birthday is not within the next two months and certainly not those hours.

Depends on what state you live in as every state has different laws. But, I am pretty sure having a 15 year old working more than 40 hours is against child labor laws.

In SC, which I think just uses federal law, if it falls within one regular work week(ie. sunday through saturday) then you can't exceed 40 hours, even in the summertime. I think you can only work something like 16 or 20 hours during the week, but they should have a poster posted somewhere at the job. It's a legal requirement.

No it is not according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
You need to check your State Child Labor Laws too. According to this, you can work 18 hours in a school week and 40 in a non-school week, and only 8 hours a day in a non-school week.
