Is it ok to quit a teaching job for another offer?

I got an offer from university A and have already started to teach for a few days then the offer from college B comes up which located the city my family lives. I really want to accept the offer from college B. I did't signed any contract but only the offer letter of university A. Is that legel that I change mind after started work for one week? Will I be sued? What should I do now?

As long as you haven't signed a contract you shouldn't be entitled to take the first job offer. |

Usually, if there's no contract, you're fine. Did you agree by email to a certain work term? Write any letters promising to stay a certain length of time? No? Then go and quit and take the other job. I'm a bit surprised they got you to work without signing anything, but if they did, then that's their sloppy work, and you're free to go.
If you belong to a regional professional organization, they may have requirements for work terms and such, depending on the organization (for example, many apprenticeship/residency/articling terms are set at a certain work term and can't be given up for another offer, even if there's no formal contract signed. |
