Is it possible to get a law degree in America and move to Australia?

Is it possible for me to go through and get my undergrad in Political Science, then go and get my Law Degree, both in the U.S., then move to Australia, and practice there? Would I have to have a little more schooling, or complete reschooling, or would I be ready to go? I know that there are different laws in Australia, but I'm not sure how much more schooling I would have to do.

One thing to remember, though, is that Australia has multiple jurisdictions so each may require something different.

probably a few courses specific to the Queens Bench, and then the exam for admittance to the bar, but nothing too tough.
afterall, many come to US for law and medicine degrees, then return home to practise. India is a big one for this. |

Try contacting an Australian embassy or consulate. Although Australian and US law are both based on the English common law, there will be differences, and it isn't obvious how significant these will be with respect to a law practice. |
