Is it possible to resign from a job in Ireland during the probation period?
Find answers to your legal question.

Is it possible to resign from a job in Ireland during the probation period?

I'm about to begin a new job August 13th in Ireland (the probation period is 6 months) but I'm still waiting for the feedback of another job which will begin September 1st.
If I succeed to be hire in the other job, can I resign easily (without notice period) ?

A Probation period usually means you do not need any notice to quit, as they could say your fired in that period or just say sorry you we dont want you! So YES you can justs say i quit! But ask a manager or collegue if you can just to be sure!

I'm pretty sure you can leave at any time but I think it would be just common courtesy to give the company a weeks notice at least don't you...

Yes you don't need to give notice but a week prior to going would be considerate. Your employer doesn't need to give u any notice , it can be effective immediately
