Is law school a bad idea right now?

I live in MS, and planned on going to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) Law school. Money isn't a problem, but will I be left without a job after I graduate? I don't want to work in a big firm; I would actually prefer a small firm in a small to medium sized town.
Advice?

Do it, no bad time for lawyers if you are smart, people will be filing bankruptcy or buying/selling homes and you can do closings. |

I don't think it is a bad idea. There are always needs for lawyers. Talk to an academic advisor and career counselor at the school and ask them. |
