Is piece work legal in Texas?

I am not talking about making garmets at home or anything like that. I'm trying to determine the legality in the printing industry. Can an employer take you off of hourly rate and pay you just by what you are able to produce? Thank you.

YES
it does not matter how you are paid, salary, hourly, commission or piece rate as long as you make at least minimum wage for every hour you work and overtime if/when applicable.
