Is the legal age to babysit 14?

It's perfectly legal. Aslong as the parent of the child and yourself think you're mature enough and will look after the child well. There is no minimum aged but it's advised to be 14 if your looking after extremely small children. Everybody matures at different ages, so don't worry. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Good Luck x

Yes it is, but there is no way I would EVER leave my young kids in the care of anyone under the age of 16 - they need lots of experience with children and also to be very responsible - not all 14 year olds would know what to do in the event of an emergency or understand you need to pre-empt problems with children.
