Is the supervisor being fair?
Find answers to your legal question.

Is the supervisor being fair?

I just started a new job last week. In my first "one on one" with my supervisor, he told me that one of the days i took to many bathroom breaks.I took 2 bathroom breaks that day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. He told me that i need to take my bathroom breaks during my scheduled breaks. He said if I needed to take a bathroom break before my actual break, then i would have to deduct the time I spent in the bathroom from my break. Is this fair? I looked on websites for this and it says they can't deny me my bathroom breaks, but nothing about deducting time from my breaks. Can anyone help with this? I'm thinking about asking my HR dept next week about it.

That's ridiculous... I'd look for another job. Why would you want to work at a place with people that petty?

there is no law that says when you have bathroom breaks it is up to the company if they tell you to use the restroom on your regular breaks than that's what you do, no arguments there are many companies that do this which is why you have breaks
