Not unless you have a contract or one of the few discrimination reasons is used.

In the USA with just about all, if not all, states, probationary period or 10 years, you can be fired for combing your hair the wrong way.

There is no law against the regularity at which a company hires/fires its employees. For companies that hire at-will employees, it is legal for either the employee or employer to dissolve the employment contract at anytime.

The only restriction in hiring and firing comes from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the body of laws it oversees. The laws generally regulate matters pertaining to discrimination and harassment.

They should shouldn't they if the turnover rate is unreasonable - esp. big businesses - but no - it's their business and they can do what they want.

no--most states are "at will"--which means they can hire or fire you for any reason. and they can hire and fire you as many times as they want

No.

Look up the term "At will employment". Most companies function under these terms. Meaning that either the employee or the employer can terminate employment at any time for any non discriminatory reason.

Dude
It depends on the country. But definately for different categories of jobs, rules are there. Know your employment contract before you sign it.

Not that I know of

PinHead
no as long as they have a legit reason to fire

No - as long as the employee is in the probationary period they can fire them whenever they want and for any trivial reason they want. They can hire and fire just as much as they choose to, but it isn't very cost effective to have to retrain all the time.
