Is there any law that says animals (specifically cats) are not allowed in offices??
Find answers to your legal question.

Is there any law that says animals (specifically cats) are not allowed in offices??

The office has adopted a cat but I can't stand animals. The litter box is in the kitchen which we all eat in. I haven't used that kitchen since the cat got here which is totally unfair. Most people have no trouble w/the cat and I am in the minority. The cat was offered a good home but was turned down by my boss because it is the 'office' cat. What can I do??

Not likely a law to prevent the cat being in an office. I've seen cats in many other businesses and nursing homes.

I'd say your only option is to look for another job. Unless you can prove something like an allergy to the cat, which could possibly be filed under workers compensation ...

I agree with the other person its probably against some law to have a litter box in a public kitchen. Cats are filthy animals, they spray urine all over, they walk on tables and counters, shed and wipe their a** on the carpet and furniture, vomit furballs, care all kinds of disease. Plus if someone is pregnant in your office (or maybe come pregnant) I know there is a disease they can catch from a cat that can cause birth defects or death to the fetus. I can't think of the name of the disease but that could be your angle.

no, depends in the type of office♥

Start sneezing. If the cat is causing an allergic reaction, they'll have to do something.

BTW, eeeewwww! Can't they move the litter box into the restroom or something? Having it in the kitchen is disgusting. Actually, this might help you...there might be a health code on the books that says they can't do this.
