I had surgery march 12.( appendix ovary and tube removal, and lysis of adhesions, laparoscopically) I went back to work after one week on the condition I was to be on light duty. ( yeah, right ) I'm on my feet for 10 hours and it's a constant power walk . I was SOOO miserable. It has also slowed the healing process because I ended up doing things I wasn't supposed to do, but I was in such a pain fog I just "did". I'm feelling a lot better, but not where I should be at this point since I didn't get the rest I was supposed to.
My boss also yelled at me for not doing certain things at work ( moving, lifting, carrying) when I wasn't supposed to. She said my surgery was "just as excuse"
any advice?

You need to treat your body right first before your job. Get with HR they will be able to help you. Also if your boss says its just an excuse like that to you, that shows how much he actually cares, you might want to get a resume together and see what else is out there. |

call out sick for a few days (use sick days) and they will greatly miss you and appreciate you more |

your doctor should have written you a release to light duty and specified what you could and could not do. If he did that, take the issue up with you Human Resource Dept. If you are on light duty she can NOT make you do those things. |

Go get a letter from your doctor and see what your boss says then. If he/she still says that, I wouldnt be working for them.* |
