of course, have confidence in yourself and be assertive. and always be willing to learn and challenge yourself. this same advice is for any race or gender. do you think you are living in an environment where african american males are stigmatized? i suggest you either move or that if you do apply for a job somewhere then do some homework to see if you are being discriminated against, this is illegal. it sounds corny when you break it down in this way and contrast it against reality, but it's the truth. |

Depends on what you mean by "good paying" job.
Just for the record, is it possible for a 31 year old female college graduate to find good paying employment? Seems difficult to me. My point with this is that it's difficult for anyone to find good paying employment. You haven't said what you are qualified for, what your education level is, or anything else. Are you just complaining? Also, how about using capitalization, punctuation and proper grammar when you're inquiring about employment?
Why don't you post some of that information and we could help you with suggestions on where to find decent employment. Or just make general complaints and there isn't much anyone can do to help with advice.
Oh, and btw, I know a few African-American males in their early 20's who have good jobs, and obtained them by making good grades in college, or working hard in the military to get promotions. |

Absolutly, get a good education, work hard and do something with yourself... you can do/be anything you want if you are willing to do the work to get there. |
