Pardon my skepticism, but didn't we alot $200 million or billion to rebuilding Louisiana and when did we FORGET to do that and where is the money?
Didn't we have Generals in Iraq getting reported for loading $200 million into trunks and attempting to ship it home for their own PERSONAL use.
It seems that President Bush is GREAT at rallying support for all of these GENEROUS bail-outs and aid for the poor, and support for the distressed, but WHO actually gets the money?
Are the corporations that are going to get a cash infusion from the govt the SAME corporations who supported George Bush's campaign for President and will there be safeguards to prevent the CEO's from stuffing their pockets with the "donation" from the govt?
Is this Bail-out just another excuse to raid the national treasury and throw us into deeper debt? And is it not TRUE that Daddy Bush gets a LARGER Cut on his share of the interest charged by the Federal Reserve to the US Govt to cover these boosts in the amount loaned to the USA, since Daddy Bush is one of the largest contributors to the Federal Reserve?
I mean, it's NICE that Bush is GIVING $700 BILLION of OUR MONEY to his friends in the corporate world but when has President Bush ever been NICE without us paying for it in the "end"?
How much of this money is going to Halliburton?
Does any one else see where I'm heading with this and has anyone else had the same mysterious feeling that this "largesse" is ANOTHER wolf in sheep's clothing?
Should Congress investigate EACH and EVERY corporation that receives money from this "bail-out"?
Anyone of like mind out there? Or am I just a nut to doubt the good will of President Bush?
Don't forget he is going to be pardoning all of the corporate crooks at the end of his administration in a couple of months. All the crooks will be back on the street and having a big PARTY at the Bush Texas Ranch. YOU can imagine what they are ALL saying about the American public and Congress.
OK ... go ahead ... yell at me and tell me how un-American I am and tell me how you LOVE President Bush and how DARE I be so mean to him. But don't you just wonder a LITTLE bit???

The latest news on TV says that the STOCK MARKET saw another commodity to trade and make a commission so they asked the banks for their mortgages. The banks sold the stock market their "paper" and the stock market ate it up. They wanted more and more so the banks started writing more and more paper and stopped caring if people qualified or not since the stock market was buying all they had and more. The banks got greedy, the stock market got greedy, and when the poorer people started to default on their loans the stock market barons began to fail. Too bad Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy BEFORE the big bail-out. Apparently THEY are not one of the Inside Track People since no one told them to wait 5 days for Bush to start giving out FREE bail-outs.
Baby Bush has always had Daddy Bush to bail HIM out when he was driving businesses into bankruptcy so we can't really expect him to be fiscally responsible. But why didn't people see that when they voted for him the first time? Tsk

You're a nut if you DON'T doubt bush! I think you're 100% right, the bailout is just another way for this nasty administration to steal steal steal. They say it's to avert a crisis, but the crisis is only that these spoiled rich brats accept the consequences of their bad business decisions. God forbid THAT happens! It's just another another way the whiny superrich can stay superrich and we have a whiny rich brat willing to use our money to do it. After all, bush #2 ran a bunch of companies to the ground and now he's doing it to the country. |

You forgot to mention that this whole stock market "plummet" is happening just in time for the elections, and this year in particular they seem to be playing the fear card pretty regular in the McCain camp. The American people vote republican when they are afraid and this real estate mess with the market crash on top is just the icing on a cake of terror baked by the good old red elephants.
Every person I speak with who intends to vote republican is doing so either out of fear or because they hate (as they put it) giving all their tax dollars to welfare recipients. Well, I'd ask them how they feel about tax dollars DOUBLING the cost of the Iraq war are going to these corporations becasue they took a gamble and lost! they say it has to be done to keep the economy going and that may be true but you and I both know that there's definitely some insidious shine-ola going on here! Economists and Congressmen I've heard quoted as explaiing that their will be safeguards against the CEO's lining their pockets but that in no way mean that they won't do it anyway in a round about fashion...you know what I mean.
There's no way to prove any of this, that's why we are powerless. Even if we studied and became experts in economics and business management and government we would still be left with that big gaping question as to the honesty of these people- and we can't prove that they are dishonest-even though they, we, and everyone else knows that they are. That's the frustrating part, these greed-mongers stading there wheeling and dealing knowing that we know and doing it anyway.
I just have to turn it off..it'll drive me nuts. |

If you enter a store and purchase a shovel to bury a pet that recently passed away but found that the cost was 2 times the normal average, chances are that you would pay the price because of the grief. If you had a faucet leak the following week and found a hardware store employee at the same store quoting an absurd price for washers, you may feel stupid but will pay the exorbitant price for your families comfort. When a gas leak forces your family to avoid using their stove/range until you pay a price for replacement parts that is too high...you wait. After shopping around and finding cheaper prices, a decision is made but you find resentment from the community.
"Don't partonize that store", they say. Who are the people that are opposed to your decisions to shop elsewhere? Who is the person with the ability to defend the Bush Administration? For the "Clowns without a Carnival", I will offer this one thought...please pay attention. If our economy was held hostage by the production and productivity of Cotton Candy and Bush was the King of the Land then you can bet your last ticket on a Farris Wheel ride that he would invade the State Fair ! |
