Is this abuse? and what can i do about it. he will come back agin?

i work at the front desk of a hilton hotel. Last night a man called me and told me that he had made a reservation and his wife was outside and about to check im.. He told me the he had a 79 doller rate everytime he stayed here and i said the rate is 174 and said that the rate cannot be changed exept by a maneger and if he's rate is saposed to be 79(witch it is not) than the maneger will chang it in the morning. The guest does not pay untile they leave. His wife came in and i got her a room and when she was sighning the card she saw the rate and yelled at me and threw the pen at me. The man called me 3 more times and told me that he will get me fired, he will never stop f****ing with me as long as i work here, im going to get what i deserve, he is going to f*** with me everytime he is here, i better not be here when he gets here or ill be sorry. he is a honers member and they are verry rich and powerful can can call corperet on me. my boss said i did nothing wrong and he's proud of me.

he will come back to this hotel but i do not want him to. I work the night shift and i am here by myself at night but he has alot of power i dont want him to mess with me or get my fired. Can i make it to where he cannot come back? owr policy is the guest is always right and if they are not happy they get free rooms and if they feel mistreated by an employee they will het fierd. is there any policy for employees that are beimg mistreated by a verry valued guest?

You didn't do any thing wrong, he did. He was trying to get a nice room for a cheap price instead of paying what everyone else does.
It is not abuse, however it is harrassment (in the man's case) and possibly assult in the woman's and you need to see if your boss will do something about it because the man is probably not kidding about coming back since he is a HHonors Member.
If you boss won't do anything, you may wan't to wait it out and if anything happens, seek help from an attorney. Also, check your company policies so you know if there is a specific way to deal with problems like this.

Thank your stars that you have a good boss! I can't tell you how many people I have met in business who would let this guy have his way and not believe you one bit.

Ask your boss what you should do if that guy calls again. The company may have policies about these things. Ask him if it does. If you're afraid of this customer that is a serious thing and you can ask if someone else can always talk to this man if he calls again. Just work it out ahead of time.

Yes It's abuse they are spoiled corrupt brats!
Good for you standing up it must have been hard. You were very professional and just doing your job. If you're boss is on your side you have nothing to worry about.
If they do anything I would file a police report.

I'm not a lawyer by any means, but from the story you gave your customers actions were most certainly abusive, and if you want to push the issue illegal. Throwing the pen it at you in the manner he did can be consider assault. The repeated threatening phone calls could be called harassment or even menacing. In your situation it's best to defer the handling of this customer to management, and avoid the situation in the future. On a personal note sometimes it's best to stand up for your self to people like this, it's the only way to gain their respect. If you let someone push you, they will push you pretty simple.
