I had a contract to care for one child, for a set pay every week. 9 months later they had another child, gave a horrible raise and I quit. The check I received has now been put on hold(unble to cash it) until they feel they have closure. The check was for watching 2 children and included the new raise. Since the additional raise, and child were not added to the contract, are they allowed to hold that check legally?
