Home Depot has told me for three weeks that I have a job there when summer comes around, during these past three weeks I turned down a job at Target because I thought I had the job at Home Depot. Everything checked out with Home Depot, my drug tests came back all clean and whatever. Then they call me three days before training and they tell me that I dont have a job there anymore. This cannot be legal!

Sorry, but yes it's legal. It would also be legal if they told you on your first day that they had nothing for you.
You could call Target and see if they have any more openings. Nothing to lose by asking.

You should have taken the Target job since it was offered to you. Until you get the call asking to if you want to work for them and they are offering the position, no job is guaranteed regardless of what they tell you.
It is legal so you have learned a lesson. You can always call Target and ask if the position is still open. The only thing they can do is turn you down. |

Defiantly call Target back...If they called you for a job, it's pretty likely that they might still need you. I work at Target and it's an amazing company! Good luck |
