Ok so, my Team Leader is always joking around saying that unless we do the right thing, the next mornign there will be box's on our desk to pack our stuff and get out.
Now yesterday! We "HAD" to work from home as the network was down at work. Which is fine, but I still had to go in to get my laptop. Now my knock off time is 5pm. at around 4pm I got a message from my TL asking me to come back into work as the network is back up again. I said to him it'd be a waste of time because by the time I got to work again (which is over the other side of town) it'd be time to leave again. At this stage he told me that he'd be the one to decide if it was a waste of time or not. And that if I wasn't willing to come back he would tell my manager I was not co-operating.
So I rang my TL at this point and said -are you joking around or not. He said he was serious. Turns out he was messing around and the network was still down. I was really upset by this. He made out he was going to report me to

to my manager when I hadn't done anything wrong. NOW today when I come into work. All my belongings on my desk had been packed into a cardboard box, and my locker, monitor, and phone had been turned to face the wall.
Do you think I should report this? Is this workplace bullying? Thanks Guys

it is definitely illegal and unprofessional !
Please report this to higher ups and tell them about the sadistic behavior of your TL,. If possible mobilize your colleagues also in this venture ! |

No, it's not bullying, it's just a joke that's gone to far.
Have a private conversation with the TL about the joke -- ask him to lay off a bit on the humor during work hours. Give him a chance to change.
If the stupid jokes continue, consider talking to HR or to his supervisor. |
