Is working 7 am to 10 pm with no days off illegal/?

My wife is working for a tour guide company in Florida ,and she gets no days off.

as long as she is receiving the correct wages then yes it is legal, here is no law that covers this

Hector V
Is that company policy or is she taking all available dates? Most employers know the law and am not sure if they will abuse the employee risking a lawsuit.

Judy
Unless she is a minor, it's legal. Ugly, but legal.

triple a
hmm

The state of Florida is governed by Federal employment laws. So the answer to your question is yes. It is illegal. She must be given one full day off the following week after working 7 straight work days.

Snowy!
Get her (or yourself if you know where it is) to read up on her entitlements within her agreement. Everyone should know what they are entitled to within their agreements, it can help.

I milked $6000 out of my ex-employer because i started reading up and found out that he was ripping me off about $5p/h for 8 months.

But i do believe it is illegal... People (no matter what job) are entitled to days off, and for that long is insanity. No one should be forced to do that.

Ring your local workplace authority and find out!

I believe it is. Although state laws varies.
She should get breaks too.

Is she being forced to work? You can work "overtime" if you want but you can't be forced. If she is not being given a choice then yes it is illegal.

yes she should sue those dumbasses.
