I really want to make a difference to others and either want to do teaching or advice work and want to know about working in Law or for the CAB (This is a UK based question thanks)

I work at the CAB. I love every minute of it
I am legally qualified but i have no interest in working in a solicitors firm because its all about money and no care for the client...
CAB is much more rewarding in my opinion
Get yourself along to your local cab and ask if you can volunteer a few hours a week....if you are the right sort of person then you will enjoy it
Hopefully if you can prove yourself a paid post may be offered eventually |

I don't know anything about law in the UK, but I work for a lawyer here in the States, and my boss really cares about his clients. he often reduces his attorney fees when a case settles, so that the client will get more money, and he takes on cases even when it seems there is no case there, just to try and help people. I love what I do, and highly recommend it. Everyday is different, and it is never boring! |

I work for a large firm in the US, no one here really cares about the client, all we care about is the billable hours, but it's not the same everywhere |

LAW - you care at the start, then you makes loads and then you start to care less
TEACHER - you care at the start, get paid rubbish and then the kids are no longer nice and you start to care less
