My father's WILL was prepared by an attorney, using only his initials and last name, He had never used his initials as his name. I always understood that any legal document required a full legal name (birth certificate, marriage license, property transfers, etc.) Would anyone know? Thank you so very much.
Additional Details
The fraud was committed by my MOTHER. She had a completely different WILL prepared using my father's initials & lastname, then signed his name to it. It was witnessed by the family attorney and his wife.

sometimes initials can be used, but most of the times it is for people in the public that don't want others to know what they are doing.. like Sandra Bullock and jesse james used their initials when adopting that baby.. but other then those types of people, most wouldn't have a need to use just their initials.
as for your mother, she can NOT legal make a will for your father unless HE agrees to it and signs it.
she can't sign it .. I would find a lawyer fast and have them help you.. |

This is governed by state law but the major requirement be that the person was of sound mind and it was witnessed by two people who are not named in the will. If you suspect fraud involving your father's estate you should seek immediate help from an outside attorney. |
