Ive been fired over something i think is stupid?

Easy

If what you are saying is true then you are a victim of discrimination and you have a good case against your employer.. here is what you do:

Seek out an attorney that will take the case
Ask for your job back plus damages and back pay, and attorney fees. Go to the B.B.B and report the incident

Once the employer sees that it is really going to cost him then he will give you your job back.

Now I am talking in damages of at least 1-3 million. Be smart! you have a good case and there is no way you would lose this one.

As a seasoned professional in human resources I must say you did not include enough information for someone to give a fully competent answer. However, based on the information provided it seems as though you were out of work and on your return to work date you brought in the work release document. Being that you were fired, the document was not sufficient to explain the time missed from work or you came back to work later than you were supposed to return.

Example, if the doctor released you to return to work on Monday, but you returned on Friday. That would mean you have four days not covered by a medical reason. Therefore, your termination would be justified. It's like a No Call No Show for those days.
