Job description was changed significantly after accepting a job offer. Legal action possible?

Job description was changed significantly after accepting a job offer. Legal action possible?

I was wondering if I can take legal action against an employer who changed the job description significantly after I accepted employment. I left a wonderful job and the very least, passed up looking for other opportunities, which my previous employer would have provided me a better chance to do because they were flexible with time off and I was established having worked there for 2 years. I was stuck with this new job which I was dissapointed with because of job duties I was unaware of before accepting employment. Obviously I didn't have the same ability to look for other jobs since I just started. I was eventually fired a couple months after working there after I claimed I might quit. Is legal action possible against an employer who changed the job description after acceptance of employment which I used as a basis to accept the job and which caused me later to be dissatisfied with the job?

in the US?
if you are the answer is NO!!!
(unless you had a contract that was breached)

if you are in the US you can file for unemployment insurance and if there was a SIGNIFICANT change in the working conditions then you may qualify for benefits.

No, in the US at least, an employer can change the job description and can even lower your pay as long as they tell you ahead of time, and it's still above minimum wage.
