every state has different ages. Check with your schools early out program. They can tell you the age and can get you the working permit you need or chack with your local labor department. |

Yes but you dont have many places u can work u can nearly work at the supermarket or u can do paper dilevery which u probly wouldnt want to.

Check with your state department of labor. There are restrictions as to the type of work you can do and the hours you can work.
In New York, at age 14, you may not work before 7am or after 9pm. When school is in session, you can work a maximum of 3 hours on a school day, 8 hours on a non-school day and a total of 18 hours per week. When school is not in session, it's 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week maximum.

The legal age to get a job or a tax file number where I live is 14 and 9 months. I'd organise your resume, tax file number and anything else you may need. Then about a month before you are at the legal age. Send the info to your employer. |
