okaay so my boyfriend caught a case a while ago for possession of a controlled substance, he did his classes, went to all his court dates and is scheduled to get the case closed on dec 11.
Unfortunately, a few months ago we were at the park with some friends drinking and the cop gave him a ticket for having alcohol in a park, even though it wasn't his.
the cops told me that they had only put him in the back of the cop car so his friend would cooperate, because he was being belligerent.
He doesn't think he should plead not guilty, because he thinks that since he already has things on his record, they'll automatically think he's guilty..
and he was slightly intoxicated, although they did not take any tests to confirm that..
Anyways, that case is set for dec 3, and he's freaking out about if he's going to go to jail or not..
Oh, and both court dates are at the same court house..
can someone PLEASE give me the possible scenario for what will happen?
I'd really appreciate it !

yaa cause i mean i guess they put him in the back of the cop car to calm his friend down, and they weren't going to give him a ticket but then one of the cops smelled alcohol on his breath so they gave him a ticket for having it..
you don't think he'll get sent tto jail though?

Trust and believe me..Don't cop to anything you didn't do or can get away with. Plead not guilty for sure. |

Just pay the fine, and there's nothing wrong. Unless he was the belligerent one and he got hauled off for disorderly conduct, they won't give him time. |
