Labor Law help regarding travel?

Sorry for posting here, but the choices are not many. My husband works for a company which includes alot of travel. However lately every week they send him out of town and he comes home on the weekends. This week he is once again out of town and he forwards me an e-mail from his company stating that he would be in kentucky starting next Monday, and the week after that in tenessee. There are other techs that travel out of town as well....however there is one of the techs they never send out. my husband approached his boss and kindly asked why he was always being sent out of town and why the workload was not disbursed equally amongst all techs. The response was simply because that one tech had children. Our chldren are grown, Is this fair?

who ever said life is fair....................
the employer is making an effort to accommodate those with a need,
are they right to do that? well that is their choice to make, as an employer, if they feel it is the right thing to do and the right way to deal with their employees .
what they are doing is not illegal, immoral or unethical and they are not discriminating against your husband.
they seem to be an employer who cares about families so perhaps your husband needs to have a sincere, open, honest conversation concerning how this arrangement effects him and his family.
try to come to an arrangement that makes everyone happy.
