Law jobs, cold contact letters?

I'm trying to write some cold contact letters to potential articling principals.
Would you suggest email or paper? I have many reference letters so I thought paper might be better, but I'm unsure.
Also, should I directly send it to the 'principals' who could supervise my articles, or where...?
Also any suggestions on format?

Send paper and email and follow up with a phone call a few days later asking if they got your email.
Do your research on the company and bosses before hand.
Show evidence of your relevant passions and skills.
Ask for contacts or referral to other potential employers.
Provide your email, phone address etc, and
contact details and blurb on referees
Drop names .. ____ from ____ said I might approch you regarding ____________ |

I'm not really sure what you are doing, but I recommend paper. I think it's too easy to just delete an e-mail and seeing the documents on paper might increase the possibility of being read. Good luck! |
