Legal age to work?

im 13 in 2 months i will be 14. Im looking for a job and im applying for a busser but how old do you have to be in colorado?

In NJ its 16

You go to your school and get working papers when your 16

Most places wont hire you unless you are 16 but i would find out what the working labor laws are there.

15 if you have a work permit

It looks like it's 14 years of age before you can work (in selected positions). See this:

Looks like one of those okay jobs is as a newspaper delivery person..

It looks like at 14 you can be a busser (I assume you mean someone who cleans tables at a restaurant)...see Section 8-12-108(1)(h) - occupation in retail food service, which I think a busser qualifies.

I think you are to young to start working..try volunteering at the hospital or library. or let your parents pay you for chores around the house. I think you can start a job when you are 15 or so
