Legal obligation to work notice if never received a contract?
|
I've worked at this company for over 3 months now. They've not given any of the promises they made about the job and I've never received either a written contract, or anything in writing. If I tell them I'm leaving, am I obliged to work notice? I know they will continue to treat me like crap if I give them warning so I just want to go!

If you have not signed any contracts or verbally agreed to any conditions, then you have no obligation to give any notice prior to leaving. Also, almost no job actually requires any advanced notice before you decide to quit. In most cases, they can terminate you and you can quit, at anytime, unless there are written contracts stating something else. |

You aren't legally obliged to give notice. It's the common, standard, professional way to leave a job though. |
