this post is little related to me last post under this topic, since my boss does yell and scream at me and my co-worked the most, and there is a notice when you walk into the building that there is no use of camera phones in the building, would it be legal for me to use my cell phone as a voice recorder just in case if he yells and screams at me once more since i already reported him, this way i will have proof that im not lying if he tries to blame it on me somehow? i thought about doing it last night before i reported him but my battery was dead lol?

Call an attorney and find out. I would do it. Is your boss demeaning you or name calling? if so this so called boss could be boarder line verbal abuse.

There actually may be a state law against taping without the other person's knowledge. These laws vary by state - some states have what is called one-person consent (in which only one party to the conversation - you - has to agree to be recorded) while others have two-party consent, in which both persons must agree to the taping. Using a tape recording in a two-party consent state against your boss could open you up to a civil suit.
