Florida Unemployment Question: I filed for unemployment due to a change in position, they were asking me to work outside in the heat cleaning rooms, doing laundry, lifting luggage. I have been doing Front Desk manager work at the location for the last 2 years, I was told I was moving into a ASST Manager position. I did not know I would be working, walking, in Florida heat i am also obese and have emphysemia. I tried the job because I needed to work, I was about to pass out and complained to my Supervisor I couldnt do this. After 10 days I couldnt take it and left work.
I filed for unemployment and was denied. I filed a appeal and finally after 3 months had a phone interview to determine. The Manager admitted that I complained and the referee asked if I could have been moved back inside, she studdered and said possibly..
My question is online it says Modified, favorable Appellant. Does this mean I won? It doesnt say reversed but says favorable. I havent received a letter this was just a check. Calling the 1-800 has not helped as the say they arent taking calls.
I am so stressed about this, I have been looking non stop for a job, nothing not even minimum wage. I know this Manager felt threatened by me because of my experience and wanted me out.
