My job fired me 3 days ago, They sat me down on a table and handed me copies of myspace blogs whick all of them but 1 had nothing to do with work. and the one that did have to do with work was an e-mail making fun of a worker that made a mistake about a members account and i had the account number on there saying 20***********3 Which is NOT enev how long nor even an account number is. Anyways and the reason they fired me they said cuz i put member account number on the internet and violated policy and all this other stuff...
The only thing i violated was company policy which means no internet.. WOW like im the ONLY ONE that gets online. People watch MOVIES where i work okay. So now they told me they will get intouch with me after their corporate lawyer reviews thing. They said POSSIBLE prosecution may be taken and that THIS IS VERY SERIOUS....
I DID NOTHIGN WRONG why are they harrasing me and why did they fire me saying i put bank account information I DIDNT can i sue them?

You should countersue. Don't trust me, because I'm 14, but maybe you could countersue for trauma and false accusation. |

When you say "The only thing i violated was company policy..." it sounds as if you knew what you were doing was wrong. Most companies (especially banks and other financial institutions, credit Unions etc) are very protective about their customers, employees and their computer systems. It sounds as if you touched on all three and placed yourself in jeopardy and suffered the consequences (being fired). As to possible prosecution I doubt that this is going to happen and you should not worry about it. From what you say I believe the company had a right to fire you, You need to learn from your mistakes and move forward.

Please do strongly consider getting a lawyer or legal advocate especially since they mentioned 'possible prosecution'. I would think that your recent employer would need actual proof that you'd posted bank account information and such. Perhaps you can consult with an employment lawyer and get counsel on what the next step is on your part. Some lawyers offer initial consultations that are free.
