Find answers to your legal question.

My bass cant afford to pay me anymore..should i bother with the twoo weeks notice?

the last check was NSF

the upcoming check will be 5 days late

I resigned Monday and she refused my help in finding my replacement

she does not KNOW if my check for the 30th will be on time and says she will let me know around the 27th.

Should i juststart my new job on the 16th instead of the 23?

I wanted to use her as a reference....but i think that her credability in the city is fading

All things considered, I would take the opportunity to start a new job as soon as possible. You can explain to your current boss that the situation does not look promising at your current job. She will probably understand. It doesn't hurt to ask her about a reference. Try not to bad mouth her at your next job. Use something more neutral such as " downsizing."

~Just 1 good egg~
I'd just walk away from this job it sounds very dicey and if she can't tell you for sure if your paycheck will bounce or not then you don't owe her your loyalty....unless you enjoy working for free.

Move on to the new job and good luck!

Considering the situation, I don't think you need to give a two-week notice.
