He should have given you one to sign. Most employers can fire you for no reason so it doesn't really matter what they write the warning is just so you aren't surprised when you are fired. |

If you are written up you have to know why? How can you improve if you do not know what you did wrong?
If you do know why, you should have ask for a copy and wrote a response to the write up. If you say nothing, that indicates that you agreed with his comments.
You to your boss and ask for a copy of the write up. If he says that he does not have the write up anymore, you directly to the personnel department and request a copy for your records.
Any employee has the right to see their personnel folder in present of a personnel employee. You can not remove the folder from the office, but you can request to have copies of certain documents |

Youre entitled to a copy... you can also write your boss up and have that letter put into his permanent file, too... if you know what you're being written up for, then you really should also write your side of the story and have that placed into your file along with his letter... |

You have a legal right to see what you were written up for as long as you signed it. Contact the Human Resources department manager if your boss gives you a hard time. It is their job to mediate between you and your manager and they should also be able to easily access your file and provide you with the documentation for your write up. |

yes you do. you should just be able to walk in and ask for a copy.. they should have ask you when you signed it,, cause you should have had to sign it,, if you wanted a copy...
