Well i have a record at 14 for getting arrested for shoplifting. and im 15 soon to be 16. and i wanna apply for a few jobs since i desperately need money. will places hire be the item i stole was $3. i know it was stupid. my chances are slim?

You were arrested not charge with anything? If you were just arrested not charge you don't have anything to worry about but most companies do not issue background checks on minors just 18 and over.
I don't see you having issues when you turn 18, if you were not convicted of anything. |

That's why you NEVER break the law! Screws you up in the future.
Depends what company you work for. At most places that I work for they never asked if I got a criminal record and I guess if they ask, then you just have to be honest and say you stole and item for $3. Most private company (family owned or whatever), they don't even ask for those stuff, some time let alone your resume. If you are working for a huge company then probably chances are smaller. Then remember, the older you get, the more experience you have and you may have the quality that the company wants. I think company may be more lenient towards you.
Knowing how much chance of you getting a job doesnt matter. No one even know what jobs they can get even if they DONT have a record. Finding a job is so hard these days, just apply everywhere you want to.
