There should be agencies in the Denver area that he can approach....thy have contacts to provide employment...you may want to start with the local employment office..

Start with employment agencies and see what the requirements are for applying for full-time permanent work. There are also day labor companies like Labor Ready that find people jobs the same day and pay them daily as well. That way he can start earning money while looking for something permanent in the meantime.

what kinds of crimes did he commit?
Alot of times the work available will depend on the type of crime (violent or non violent) for example if he was a murderer vs a tax evader both felonies but you get the implied difference.

does your husband have any skills or has he learned a trade?
Maybe your husband could start his own business.
janitorial or landscaping businesses could be quiet lurcrative.
