My husband and I are required to move out of State because he is attending a graduate program at Washington State University. I of course have to quit my job to move. I told my employer I would be leaving 4 1/2 months before the move. I am looking for a job, if I don't find one will I be able to collect unemployment? I live in Oregon. Thank you!!

I AM STILL WORKING FOR MY EMPLOYER AND WILL CONTINUE TO WORK THERE UNTIL 1 WEEK PRIOR TO OUR MOVE!!

If he was taking a job in another state, or transferred, you might have a chance. Going to school - probably not. And you're quitting 4-1/2 months before the move? Why? "to get ready for the move" isn't going to help your case with the unemployment people.
You can apply, but your chances aren't good for being approved. |
