Hi, anyone who know the law please help. My manager told me that I am not match with this job environment(fast pace) and they want me to work many projects at the same time. So, she told me to go to find a job before she terminates me. However, she said the company can not wait too long. But I couldn't find the job yet. They plan to terminate me soon. I requested that it will damage my job history, no employer terminate me before since I have been working for 10 years now, please lay off me instead and I can also get Unemployment benefit. But she said the company don't have the policy to lay off people and just want to terminate only. I feel like she discriminate me or our personalities don't match. She did told me that I have done a good job and have been working hard but I don't understand why she wants to terminate and not treat me fairly.
I think she were not sure at the beginning what kind of employee she is looking for this position and she really need someone immediately to help finish the work. Now , the speicific work she wants has been done by me. The hiring letter said that they can terminate my employment any time though. However, I feel like it is not fair to me that they plan to terminate me without my own fault and it will damage my job history also.
What should I do? Help!

Secondly, if the company terminates you, depending on your state you will be eligible for the unemployment benefits. So, check with your local Employment Department. In general, the person who initiates job change action: you or your employer, determines the eligibility. If your employer started the process, your application for unemployment will be accepted and your employer will start paying in contributions. If you quit, it costs nothing your employer..., but you are NOT eligible for unemployment benefits. |

You should look harder for a new job. Your current supervisor is doing you a favor by warning you. Most would have just terminated you immediately. |
