My step-mum wont let me see my brother?? court order?

I am 23, and have a 3 year old brother, whom my stepmum will not let me see. Is there any way i can get a court order or anything so i can see him and let my 2 year old son meet him? i cant really afford a solicitor either. any help greatly appreciated.

i have never done anything wrong, she just doesnt like me, i am not on benefits i work full time but as most working mums, most of my wages go on nursery fees. lol

In the USA nobody but the parents have a right to see a child so you would need one of the parents to allow it.
What about your father can he meet you at the zoo or something for a day with the kids?
Be nice to your step mom there is a reason she doesn't like you. She may think you are leaning on your father and him taking time or money from her family or maybe you were rude as at teen or not welcoming when she married your dad. Or maybe she is crazy. |

Seek legal advice, if you are in receipt of benefits or on a low income you might be entitled to legal aid.
You may have a good case if she is being unreasonable and if you really havent done anything to warrant being banned from seeing your brother. |

It's not going to be easy going through court. It's not only financially draining but also emotionally too. What is your dad doing about it? He should have some say in this. The fact is even the court grant you access, it will only be reasonable access determined by the child's mom...which means you're back to square 1. The court will not punish your stepmum if she disobey the court. My advise will be talk to your dad and try to find a way around it. Compromise if you can and try to show your intentions are genuine.
