They direct deposited a bit of extra money into my account. It feels like that Monopoly card "Bank Error in Your Favor: Collect $20.00." Do I have to give it back?
Additional Details
I already know that they know about it. They requested that I give it back. I'm not worried about bouncing a cheque. They have requested that I pay them back with a cheque of my own or with cash. They don't want to deduct it from my next pay. That's why I'm questioning it.

If they have your bank account info, they can go and get it themselves. Do it yourself before you end up bouncing a check. |

You absolutely have to give it back. If your employer determines you knew you were overpaid and didn't tell them, or if you refuse to return it, they have grounds for termination. |
