I was terminated from my job at a bank.
I was told by my fellow employee that I was suspended for forging a clients signature. I then got terminated for not using proper balancing procedures.
I did not forge a clients signature. I know you don't know the banks side of the story but bare with me. I am the only Caucasian person at my bank branch.
What I wrongfully fired?
If yes, what do I do other than look for another job?

Yes, you were terminated rightfully.
Banks are very strict when it comes to balance of drawers. You already had a strike for forging a signature which in my opinion is termination.
If you did not forge the signature then why did you not say anything or at least fight the suspension? Why did they think you did it anyway?
Seems to me that the bank has backup for firing you and if challenge they will present the evidence. |

It really does not matter what a fellow employee says unless you have proof of such speculation. Was there just cause to terminate your employment based on proper balancing procedures?
Was there documentation that you signed, where you had the opportunity to dispute the termination? Many companies will have a grievance process that you can pursue. The reality is that all States are "employment-at-will".
I also recommend reviewing your employee handbook to see what options you may have. |

Do you want to work there? If you do and protect your image get a lawyer they need work too. A lawyer can simply write a letter to the bank manager and this might be enough to get them to realize they messed up and get your job back. In which case you will be paid retro-active pay from the time they fired you.
Do not sit and wait this out. The sooner you get on this the better. Most states / provinces have Labour Laws and someone who can answer these questions specific to your state. You will have to file a grievance with the Labour Board. Good luck, this kind of employer activity makes me sick! |

Yes you were, its obvious. call your local better business burro, or the corporate office for the bank you worked at. Tell them everything and that there discriminating against you because you are white. I'm pretty sure if you did forge the signature then they have it on tape, so they should show it to you. If all else fails, sue! |
