I have just been made redundant but in my consultancy meeting i was offered an alternative employment. My line manager who is the person involved in selecting me for redundancy helped me to get an alternative potential employment in another branch which i went to explore and got the transfer. The reason for the help was I am still on a work permit.

Friday is my last day at this office- should i buy her a small gift if yes any ideas what should buy

secondly should i email ever one in the branch saying on Friday that- today is my last day at this branch and invite people to the pub or just email saying its my last day and nice working with you all only.(no pub invitation)

I would say it would be appropriate to buy her a gift. I would recommend something simple and casual like a scented candle (women LOVE candles). As far as your coworkers go, if you are friendly enough with these people that you would like to invite them out the the bar for drinks, that's fine. A lot of people invite co-workers out to celebrate their last day. I think it would be a pleasant transition into a new job. Good Luck!

Get your manager a gift certificate for a local restaurant. Friday your last day just bring in some goodies, such as cake, and share with all.

The pub is a great idea. Taking people to a bar when you leave a job is a great networking opportunity. Get people's home email addresses, get them on facebook, etc.
