OMG my boss wife pissed me of so ?

bad. she said i am so upset and you are not and expert what you did was wrong and its not your place to make copies of something and put it in with documents that was already approved my me and my husband. I told her that what i meant to do was make the copies and then show it to her but instead i forgot and left it there. she was so pissed. and i was pissed of too. because she makes something so small sooo big. it was a mistake but with them or with her there is no room for mistake. if i did not need this job yesterday would have been my last

You work for a domineering personality, with little or no people skills. If you like your job then it will require an acceptance on your part.

That means repeating over and over in your head, "this is part of the job", "she is paying me to be yelled at", "as long as she is paying me while she yells, she can yell all she wants", "this is part of the job", "she is paying me to be yelled at". Once you reach this mind set, it won't bother you anymore when she yells at you. You just say yes ma'am, look contrite and move on with your work.

What ever you do, don't loose your cool and yell back, or burn bridges when you leave. Bosses wives all know each other and gravitate to the same social functions. Burning your bridges with one of them could result in you being black balled and not hired by any of the other offices in your area.

If you leave, just say it is because the new job is closer to home and uses less fuel, it gives you more time to check on your parents health, any excuse except one she will find offensive.

are you an expert?
are you suppose to make copies and add them to the documents after they have been approved?
what are the consequences of this kind of mistake?
in most jobs there is no room for mistakes, mistakes do happen but that does not make it okay.

is this the first time you have made the same or similar mistake?
if you have made this type of mistake before then it was not a mistake. once you know something is wrong and you do it anyway, then you did it on purpose not by mistake.
don't know both sides of the story here but it is always wise to learn from mistakes and strive to make your employer happy.
if you are unable to do that then seek other employment but until you find a job that is a better fit you need to keep this job. that means learn from the mistake, don't do it again, maintain a positive attitude at work and do the job to the very best of your ability or quiting won't be an issue.
remember it is always easier to find a job when you have one.

since you edited the question it is obvious that the mistake you made could be critical and depending on the type of legal practice could cost the client as well which makes the mistake HUGE.

Of course I'm just hearing your side of the story but I think you probably need to grow up. Sounds to me like your bosses wife might have been justified.

OK, now you've had your rant. Do you have a question? Or are you just venting?

Work for yourself.... Self-employment... Start you own biz and Later, become the boss and give someone else crap, LOL!

You admitted you meant to make copies, but you didn't. You have to remember who the boss is, and your actions fell short of what was right. You have three options. 1. let things be and move on. 2. If it doesn't go away, give a firm and sincere apology. 3. Quit.
