Papers need to get a job?

When a 17 year old is getting a job at like CVS, Rite Aid, or places look those, what papers do they need?

Social Security card and photo ID like a Driver's license, learners permit or just a state ID card if you don't have either of those. If you don't have a social security card, your US birth certificate and ID will work as proof of eligibility to work in the US but you still need to know your SS number.
If you've already graduated, you'll want to bring proof of that as sometimes you can work full time if you can prove your already graduated.

in some states a minor must obtain a work permit

for the W-4 you must know your social security number (the employer does not have to see the card)

for the I-9 you must have an ID which there are numerous forms that may be used

proof of eligibility to be legally employed which can be a birth certificate or social security card or a number of other items are allowed
(the employer must actually see the documents that are used for the I-9)
