Is a credit check a part of the background check for Parole Officers? I have an interview for a position as a PO scheduled for tomorrow and due to a job loss, my credit rating is bad. I was wondering if that will effect my chances.

You might just ask them and if they say yes it is part of the whole process, then maybe offer an explanation and let it go.

I would think that a character background check for honesty would be more important
