Problems with co-worker, need advise?

okay, so i do security at a post were it is 5 guards at a time. we have a supervisor and the rest are regular guards like me, now one of the guards has been there for quite some time and is very close to the account manager. So if he does not like someone, they remove that person from the post. I have been lucky cause ive been there for like 8 months now and from the time i have been there, i have seen more than 15 guys come and go. And they do a good job. They lie about things like abandoning post which is a lie. They write disciplinary papers will full of lies. Now the guy who is close to the manager, is not even a supervisor but still controls the supervisor and there are things he yells at the employees for little things when he is not a supervisor and has cussed to them as well. Couple of the employees have made complaints to the officer were the top guys are from the company but they wish to ignore what is going on there.they ignore the complaint because they are cool with the account manager
what can be done or what advice do you guys have?
The problem stresses these employees and they fear they will be removed.

If that supervisor doesn't do anything, then you move onto the next one up. You keep on going until you reach the top. If all fails, contact E.E.E. dept for solutions.
If the company fires you while doing this, see a lawyer. |

It sounds like a very toxic work environment. There is not much that can be done because it does not appear as though any laws are being broken. You should try and get another position because this one might not be very secure. |

no matter where you work you are likely to run into people who are like this. My advise to them would be to start looking for a different job and hope you don't run into managers like this. In the mean time try and stick it out and do what you can not to get in trouble by this power hungry colleague. |

when people start quiting and listing him as the cause for their decision to quit, well after a number of people complain in writing about this guy and quit their job that will certainly draw the attention of the employer. to this persons abusive behavior. Not to mention the labour board, as they tend to ask questions as to why do you have so many people quiting.esp when they all list the same reason...well at least I like to think they would... |
