If someome had acne, would you take them less seriously, professionaly? I don't have bad acne, but it's certainly noticeable. I'm pursuing a career as a commercial barrister, but worried that people will take me less seriously because of my skin. (Because it's associated with being a teenager). Your thoughts?
Additional Details
I've been on derm. prescribed medication since I was 13. The only thing left for me to try is accutane/roaccutane, but the side-effects are pretty horrific, and since it's not that bad I'm not sure whether it is worth it.

I agree..it matters.
Go to a dermatologist and get rid of it.
Edit: I went on accutane at 25, it really wasnt that bad...just some nose bleeds. I would do it again in a second. |

I have the same issue. I'm 21, I run a warehouse, I have acne. Not so bad that it's distracting, but it's noticeable. So far, everyone calls me kid and they can't even guess my age correctly. It's irritating. If you find something that works, let me know. I've tried everything form OTC to prescription, to birth control, to Proactive. Nothing continues to work more than a few months. Try covering it up until you grow out of it I guess. Good luck hun. |

Did you ever consider that product pro active? Not being a smart a**.... I have a friend who had somewhat bad acne (worse by the chin area) and on or about 3 months later if I recall correctly it cleared up. Yes. The acne would hurt you career wise. |
